Biker Chick

Welcome to Biker Chick week here at Old Picture of the Day. OK, I probably do not have enough pictures to really have a whole week of Biker Chicks, but I am hoping if you have an old picture of your grandmother on a motorcycle or bicycle, you will send it in, and maybe I can get enough material for a week. In looking at this picture, I am curious . . . is she riding this motorcycle sidesaddle? To me, it looks like that might be the case.

DOMESTIC UPDATE:

I have a major domestic update for you today.

Lovie is expecting! Yes, she has laid a nice batch of eggs, and is now sitting on them. Now, she is expecting, but I am not sure what I am expecting, because as far as I can tell, she never showed Handsome Jack any interest. Despite his best efforts and elaborate displays, all I ever saw her do is walk over and peck him on the head. So, not sure these eggs are going to hatch, but hey, I am not here all day.

As opposed to using the $5,000 peacock palace we made for her, she has decided to use the little chickie coop to hatch her eggs. This has caused great confusion, as the other peacock stand guard around the coop. The poor little chickies have to run the gauntlet of peacocks to get into the coop to lay their eggs. Lovie is not being real friendly to the chickies when they go in to lay their eggs in the little egg boxes. I went and looked the other day and there were chickies triple bunking in one of the little boxes. You could barely see the chickie on the bottom. I guess the chickies don't want to walk by her, so are all piling into the first laying box. I did get 10 eggs from the 10 chickies yesterday, so I guess they are adapting to the new "guest" in the coop.

So, we will have to wait and see what happens.
